A Pink Dress for Spring
March 18, 2020I spent a bit of time in San Diego earlier this month. This was the first time I’ve been to southern California, and I now understand all of the love for this part of the country. It’s truly amazing. And while I do truly love my East Coast, San Diego has the West Coast looking awfully endearing right about now.
One of my very favorite things was the weather. Yes, everyone talks about the weather in San Diego, but how can you not. It let me back a suitcase full of dresses that have been hidden away for warmer days, and I was so happy to get to wear this blush pink shirt dress. This is one of my favorite dress silhouettes currently. It’s so easy and I love a structured oversized piece that is both comfortable and undeniably chic.
North Carolina is currently experiencing what we like to call ‘false spring’: days of 60-70 degree sunshine (hope) that come crashing back to the 40’s (sadness). So while we are not quite yet ready for a full leap into spring clothes, I’m loving every chance I get to introduce dresses and happy colors back into my world.
And we must mention these shoes from Able. If you aren’t familiar with Able, they’re one of my favorite ethical fashion brands and have fantastic leather goods as well as a more modern clothing line for all of you cool girls out there. I’ve adopted a more ‘grand-millenial’ style, if you may, over the years, so I’m not always cool enough for their designs. But every once in a while, they’ll come out with something that feels like they were made just for me. Enter: the nude ruffle kitten heel. I had the opportunity to tour their Nashville space earlier this year, and the moment I laid eyes on these beauties I knew they had to come home with me. And luckily for you, they’re currently on sale!
